UPCOMING EVENTS!

THIS SATURDAY!

This Saturday the Village of Brookfield will be hosting a Prairie Avenue Ribbon Cutting for Grey Phoenix Art Studio and Business Showcase for all businesses on Prairie from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a “Prairie Avenue Passport” while you walk the block and explore participating businesses. Don't forget to get your stamp at each stop. Once completed, you can turn in your passport for entry into a raffle drawing (Grey Phoenix Gift Certificates are one of the prizes!!). We will also be having our retail area open and some kid friendly activities! Hope to see you Saturday

SPRING CLASSES!

Last week in our Comic Book Series we were working on our story and this week will be our last class in this session working on the cover!

In our Mexican Art & Artists Series we worked on pinch pots and sculptures with clay and learned all about Talavera. This week we will be working on Day of the Dead masks!

INTRO TO PRINTMAKING

If you are either a beginner or someone who needs a space to print make. This class is for you! In our introduction to block printing 3 part workshop, you will take your own graphic or pattern design (or use one of the images in the studio), then learn to transfer it to a Speedy Carve block to produce a linocut stamp. Next, you will practice printing with water soluble ink and your new stamp as you print your image on several prints featuring your block print designs to take home. The second block we will use two different colors with an image you brought or an image that is provided in class. Register today here! 13 yrs and up!

YOGA MAKERS & HEALING ART

May 8 at 9am, caring and mindful movement for those who make. Sore hands, poor posture, repetitive movement --all get reset with this physical and artistic class.
